It seems like I’ve been traveling most of my life—I was born in the Territory of Alaska, raised in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, married in Hawaii, and lived for the next thirty years between the West Coast, the East Coast and Japan. When my husband retired from the military, we moved back to the Pacific Northwest. But we continued to travel—all over Europe and back to Japan. Now I travel with my sons, my daughters-in-law, my grandchildren. And everywhere I go, I take photos—to capture the memories and to turn into paintings when I get home.
